Company History
LidsterCorp Ltd was founded in June 2004 by two young professionals frustrated with witnessing viable sustainable technologies fall to the wayside while other, less promising innovations flushed.
As a result of these two young professionals’ efforts within the European Commission’s Framework Five and Six Programme, they developed a unique approach to research networking, which focussed upon the sustainable development sector.
This has grown into a platform for sustainable technology development, providing resources such as document libraries, forums and services to support these developments such as patent, regulatory and market reviews on existing technologies. This expertise also extends to attracting research grants and funding at local, national and international level and preparing research proposals in the sustainable technology sector.
Mission Statement
As the public becomes more aware of sustainable development issues such as the current debates about the REACH directive, discussions about nuclear energy and debt relief for third world countries will see potential for change using sustainable approaches. Our aim is to inform and educate the public particularly in government lead sustainable development initiatives from local and regional to national and European level.
Our goal is to become a leading centre for sustainable development in Europe. We work closely with industry, scientists, government departments, market consultants, funding bodies, dissemination specialists, legal experts and manufacturers, as well as environmental and consumer groups to provide state-of-the-art research and technology transfer coordination to ensure a sustainable environmental and economic future in the South West of England and throughout Europe.
